repair > getting it perfect the first time

in parenting (and in life) you will mess up ugh. you will be short when you meant to be patient and human when you meant to be perfect and it’s really hard, but what happens next matters even more. the repair…going back, naming it…that’s what builds trust. with kids and with people and with ourselves when we don’t show up how we planned…and the quicker we do it the better it feels and the sooner we get back on track ♥️
